We’re thrilled to announce that our brand-new manufacturing facility in Thorne, Doncaster is almost ready to open for production this Spring.
Set to be the home of our new door brand, a solid timber core with ThermoPlastic skins, our brand-new factory will allow us to make this product right here in the UK to ensure a strong and consistent supply chain to bring this in-demand door type to you as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Our Doncaster Facility has been brought to fruition by our Head of Operations, Mark Towers, who is joined at the facility by our new Manufacturing Manager, David Wells-Burr and other members of our newly-formed team in Thorne.
Kitted out with state-of-the-art machinery, the factory is currently spanning across 20,000 sq.ft with another 60,000 sq.ft available in the future for further growth.
Known internally as our ‘space to create’, our Thorne factory will double up as a research + development facility for new product ideas to ensure we can keep our passion for innovation moving.
Speaking on our new addition, Mark Towers tells us “Establishing this new site has been a project I have been focused on for a while behind the scenes, so I’m delighted to finally share our latest and probably biggest growth news yet. The new facility represents significant investment. It will be the home of DoorCo Manufacturing, a new arm to the business that will work alongside our overseas partners in the production of our growing composite door portfolio.”
Adding to this, our Managing Director Dan says “We’re really pleased to see the Doncaster facility coming together now and so nearly ready to start production. We’re passionate about innovation and having a space in the UK where we can research, develop, test and create is such a great next step for us. We’re excited to welcome the new team members who are helping us bring this exciting new project to life and to see the new brand in production in the space very soon.”
